I tried something new and interesting this weekend - wool felting which I didn't know about until I saw it at this lady's studio in the Yorkshire Dales:

I bought some wool and instructions from her and had great fun composing the scene in layers. The wool comes in a great range of colours and the process produces interesting effects. It involves friction and fluid which causes the wool to 'felt' and form a mat of sorts.
